I planed to build the "Jules Verne" for a hole while and as I heard my wife even planned to donate it to me as a birthday present. But if one knows "Fa. Graupner" he also knows that merely from the first announcment of a new model till it's real availability it sometimes lasts an infinity.
When I couldn't bear waiting any longer I decided to build an "interim boat" and that was the Fishing Cutter "Elke" provided as rapid construction kit also by "Fa. Graupner". The setup of the model lasted from January 2000 till July 2000.
It seems that against the information on the cardboard no real-life model of this ship ever existed. At least I didn't find any information in the net. As as far as I know the model only represents a type of ships applied in Hamburg Finkenwerder in the first half of 20th century.
